In reply to Shaunmill who nobody seems to take serious when Shaunmill seems to state there is good reason to believe that Bradley Robert Edwards has been set up on the Claremont Serial Abductions and Murders with the implication that he (BRE) is likely to have committed other unsolved Abductions, attempted rapes and Murders in Western Australia ... and that the plan has been to have Bradley Robert Edwards murdered in prison and make it look like a suicide ... that way the WAPOL and the Director of Public Prosecutions for Western Australia Amanda Forrester and the Government of Western Australia would not have to prove in a court that Bradley Robert Edwards is guilty of the charges beyond reasonable doubt that he has been charged for .... with the Western Australian Media announcing a press release from WAPOL that the person whom WAPOL firmly believe was the Claremont Serial Abductor and Murderer has committed suicide because he (Bradley Robert Edwards) could not face the public shame of what he (Bradley Robert Edwards) did ... this would be a way of neatly closing the Claremont Serial Abductions and Murders files and stop the further millions of dollars being spent on further investigation and an expensive trial ...it would be a complete public disaster to the public creditability of the WAPOL and Amanda Forrester the Director of Public Prosecutions if the trial of Bradley Robert Edwards showed clearly that there was never any serious creditable evidence showing that Bradley Robert Edwards was the sole Abductor and Murderer of Jane Rimmer and Ciara Glennon... and that in fact there was evidence that the WAPOL and Amanda Forrester the Director of Public Prosecutions refused to take notice of and had no interest in obtaining the details of that show that others were involved in the Claremont Serial Abductions and Murders which included Police and other well connected and powerful people in Perth Western Australia.. I have been asked to help proof read a series of new books being published entitled "The Untold Sordid Sinister Legal, Political, Government, Business, Criminal and Media History Perth Western Australia" .... which is described as a series of books that will leave the reputations of many so called respectable, well connected, high society and well known people's public reputations in absolute tatters and public shame... with the authors and publishers putting their lives at personal risk by publishing such truths about such powerful people and networks... these series of books also describe Perth Western Australia as "The Favour Society .. where most people who have gained a reasonable level of financial success and or professional success owe others a few favours to have gained such successful level and there is always an obligation that such favours have to be returned when asked or demanded..".. the information in these series of new books is in part based on the extremely controversial series of books published by the Australian Weekend News in 1998 onwards which are nine plus 500 page volumes called "The Triumph of Truth (Who Is Watching The Watchers?)" ... which were purchased by the Alexander Resource Library of Western Australia in 1998 onwards at $89 per copy ... one could find them listed on the library computer index at the Alexander Resource Library of Western Australia .. one of the sections in these series of books pointed towards police and other powerful people in Perth Western Australia being involved in the Claremont Serial Abductions and Murders and other unsolved Abductions and Murders in Western Australia ... then in around the year 2000, according to the head librarian who was the person responsible for having the Alexander Resource Library of Western Australia order copies of these serious of books .... powerful solicitors and barristers working for the Crown Law Department of Western Australia came to the Alexander Resource Library of Western Australia without any Court Order and or even a lodged Court Application ... and demanded that the staff at the Alexander Resource Library of Western Australia put all of their copies of the series of books entitled "The Triumph of Truth (Who Is Watching The Watchers?) through the paper shredder and immediately remove all traces and record of these series of books having ever been in the Alexander Resource Library of Western Australia from the library's computer index .... the publishers then became concerned about the safety of the original manuscripts of these series of books and other research material for future volumes ... So the publishers took these original manuscripts to be stored in Queensland, ... however using undercover operatives the Western Australian Police found out where these original manuscripts were stored in the Gold Coast of Queensland ... And using a falsely and wrongfully issued search warrant based on nothing to do with trying to locate the original manuscripts of these series of books... the Queensland police in November 2005, illegally took possession of the original manuscripts and research material of these series of books ... the publishers have sued the Queensland police and Queensland Government in the High Court of Justice in England, for one billion pounds in damages and also included in the Court claim is an order for the return of all the original manuscripts and research material for the series of books entitled "The Triumph of Truth (Who Is Watching The Watchers?)" .. even though a copy of the one billion pounds damages claim has been sent to the Queensland Government and the Queensland Police .. neither has bothered to Lodge any notice with the High Court of Justice that they are intending to defend this one billion pounds damages claim .. details lodged in the High Court of Justice Claim show letters written by the Department of the Premier of Western Australia stating that these series of books should be returned by the Queensland police and admitting that the Queensland Police took possession of these series of books entitled "The Triumph of Truth (Who Is Watching The Watchers?)" in November 2005. ... however the Queensland police continue to refuse to return the original manuscripts and research material for these series of books entitled 'The Triumph of Truth (Who Is Watching The Watchers?)" ....
The new series of books about the Untold Sordid Sinister Legal, Political, Government, Business Criminal and Media History of Perth Western Australia include a section describing a girl in Perth ending up in histerical tears after reading the section in the series of books entitled "The Triumph of Truth (Who Is Watching The Watchers?) which talks about police and powerful people in Perth being involved in the Claremont Serial Abductions and Murders and other unsolved Abductions and Murders in Western Australia ... when the girl was asked why she ended up in histerical tears .. her reply was .... I was the girl friend of a senior police officer and was heavily involved in the taking of selling and using illegal drugs such as crystal meth, cocane, heroin etc., with by boyfriend senior police officer other police and well connected people in Perth and they were involved in the Claremont Serial Abductions and Murders and other unsolved Abductions and Murders in Western Australia ... when asked why don't you tell the authorities about what you know? .... the reply was. ." if I stated publicly what I know I would be murdered within a week ..."..

In 1996/1997 a serial killer was stalking young women in Perth, Western Australia. Sarah Spiers, 18, was the first known victim. Jane Rimmer and Ciara Glennon disappeared from the same nightclub district in Claremont soon after, their bodies discovered sometime later. Sarah Spiers has never been found & the serial killer remains at large, the murders unsolved......

The Premier of Western Australia from the 16th of February, 1993 to the 16th of February, 2001 was Richard Fairfax Court.

Kerry Turner went missing on 30 June 1991. She was 18-years-old. 

On Saturday, 29 June 1991, Kerry Turner told her parents she would be coming for dinner that night. She later called back and cancelled, saying she was going out to a nightclub with her best friend, Kylie Gilchrist. Kerry and Kylie went to Pinocchio’s nightclub on Murray St in Perth’s CBD. Soon after entering the club, the two friends became separated. Kerry continued to mingle with other patrons throughout the evening. 

At the end of the night, Kerry needed to get home. She did have a car, but she left it, along with her purse, at a friend’s house in Armadale (it’s unclear if this was Kylie’s house or another friend). At about 4:00am, Kerry caught a taxi. However, the driver learned she did not have money for the fare and he dropped her off on the Causeway. Witnesses saw her sitting on the curb, trying to hitch a ride. 

Some reports say Kerry was headed home to Bickley. Others say she was going to the friend’s house in Armadale, where vehicle was located. 

Another taxi eventually picked her up, but ended up dropping her off in East Victoria Park, near Conca’s Family Restaurant, an all-night café. 

Kerry was stranded. She walked across Shepperton Rd, near Miller St. A car sped up and stopped behind her. The driver called out and she walked back to the vehicle. After speaking with the driver, she walked around the vehicle and climbed inside the passenger door. The car headed south on Shepperton Rd shortly after 5:00am. This was the last time Kerry was seen alive. 

The car was similar to a Datsun 260C or 260z, with distinctive spoked wheels. It has been described as a dark car, a blue car, a dark blue car, and a fawn colored car. 

On 28 July 1991, four picnickers discovered Kerry’s body near Canning Dam. She was found in bushland, 40km (25miles) from the all-night cafe, hidden behind a log. She had been murdered.

The women disappeared in 1996 and 1997 in the ritzy western Perth suburb, Claremont in an area that was a hub of activity.

Sarah Spiers was just 18 years old when she became the first victim in the Claremont serial murders.

She left a nightclub in Claremont, Club Bayview, on Australia Day 1996 and called for a cab from a payphone at 2.06. By the time the taxi arrived at 2.14am, she had disappeared. Her body has never been found.

On June 6 of that year childcare worker Jane Rimmer, 23, disappeared from the same Claremont pub – Club Bayview after declining a lift with friends.

Her body was found two months later August 3 in dense bushland south of Perth. She was found naked, partially decomposed and covered with leaves and twigs.

The third incident occurred early the following year on March 15, 1997. Ciara Glennon, a 27-year-old lawyer, disappeared from Claremont's Continental Hotel, just 200 metres from Club Bayview in the same party precinct.

She wandered out onto the Sterling Highway, potentially in search of a taxi. A witness told police they saw her talking to someone in a car. When the witness looked back a moment later, Ciara and the car were both gone.

A MAN HAS been charged in an infamous Australian serial killer case after one of the country’s longest and most complex police investigations spanning 20 years.

One of his alleged victims was Ciara Glennon, who moved to Australia with her Irish family when she was five years old. She disappeared at the age of 27.

The deaths of Glennon and two other women who disappeared from the upmarket Perth suburb of Claremont after a night out between 1996 and 1997 shocked the country and struck fear into the city.

Police struggled to pin the blame on anyone and followed thousands of leads before arresting Bradley Edwards, 48, at a home in a Perth suburb yesterday.

Sarah Anne McMahon  was last seen wearing dark jeans, black turtle neck sweater and black suede jacket. Concern is held for her safety and welfare.
Fears for the safety of a 20-year-old woman missing for 13 days 
have increased following the discovery of the woman's car at a hospital carpark. 
Sarah McMahon was last seen leaving her workplace in suburban Claremont on November 8, although there have been a number of unconfirmed sightings of her since then. She has made no contact with her family. Ms McMahon's white Ford Meteor sedan was found last night in the emergency department car park of Swan District Hospital.  Police today refused to say who discovered the vehicle or whether anything of significance

At the time of Sarah's disappearance she was depressed ... a romance had soured, university had lost its appeal and she had a mobile phone bill for $800 she hadn't mentioned to us. Sarah felt as though she was in rough waters being tossed this way and that, and she had mentioned to a family friend that she wished she could just "go away and start again". We thought a visit to her older brother Paul and his family, who live near Melbourne, might break the cycle, but unfortunately that wasn't so. I visited Melbourne and Sydney putting up posters, giving out photos and talking to anyone who was willing to listen. Two years ago, a couple who had taken a photograph of Sarah rang to say they had distributed it at a youth seminar. The father of one of the children worked in security at Newcastle nightclubs, and he came across a young man who recognised her and confirmed her name when shown the photograph. But that was it. There have been no further sightings or news. We, Sarah's family, believe with all our hearts that our darling daughter, sister and granddaughter is out there. We will never believe otherwise. The sister of a Perth girl who vanished more than ten years ago after developing a friendship with an older man who has since been convicted of attempting to murder a prostitute has told the inquest into her sister's suspected death she always found the man "creepy".
Sarah Anne McMahon was 20 years old when she disappeared on October 8, 2000.

The last phone call Ms McMahon answered was from Donald Morey, then 45, who has since been convicted of attempting to murder a prostitute in 2003.

Counsel assisting the coroner at the inquest into the suspected death of Ms McMahon told the court Morey's attempt to strangle the woman to death came days after a fellow sex worker from the same Highgate strip had gone missing.

Ms McMahon's sister Amanda Smith giving evidence to the Coroner's Court on Monday said Morey met her sister at her house a couple of years before her disappearance.

When Ms Smith returned from living in regional Western Australia after a period of months she discovered "Don" and her sister were speaking on the phone "all the time", something that worried her, she said

"He was very interested in her – too interested," Ms Smith said.

"He was always trying to charm her."

Ms Smith said she found Morey "creepy".

Morey has never been ruled out as a suspect in the suspected death of Ms McMahon, Detective Darryl Cox told the Coroner's Court.

A special police unit that manages WA's cold cases reopened the case of Ms McMahon's disappearance last year and reinterviewed several witnesses.

One witness – a prostitute whose name has been protected – changed her original statement to make shocking claims that she saw the naked body of a woman she believed to be Ms McMahon in Morey's bedroom with a robe looped around her neck, counsel assisting the coroner Philip Urquhart told the inquest in his opening submissions.

The inquest is expected to hear the woman claimed she helped clean up the house after something wrapped in a quilt was removed from the bedroom.

The woman told police she wanted to "tell the whole truth" about what happened to Ms McMahon last year because she believed she was suffering from a terminal illness, Mr Urquhart told the inquest.

And now that suddenly was just cut short. My childhood, sort - sort of has been, um, marred, I guess you could say, by this whole situation. And, um, it's - it's hard. There's some days you don't want to get out of bed or go to school, but I think you have to make yourself do these things, um, for, um, yourself and just to, um, get Preoccupied.
JANE CUNNINGHAM: The year before she disappeared, Sarah's mum Trish, a school drama teacher, wrote a play about the devastated family of a missing girl. In a strange twist of fate, it was Sarah's sister Kate who played the missing girl, rehearsing the role and then comforting a family grieving from the same scenario. Do you visualise her coming home?
KATE: Yes. A lot.
JANE CUNNINGHAM: Do you?
KATE: Every day, you wake up, you think, "This could be the day. It could be the day she might come strolling through." I just think she's gonna come just wandering down the driveway, walking through the door, acting like nothing's happened. I just think that's how she'll do it.
JANE CUNNINGHAM: Kate's play does have a happy ending. The missing girl comes home. In reality, though, her turmoil continues.

             had a bag with all the things needed to kill someone  that Donald Morey aka  always 
         carried around with him .... but the police after been told about this bag being at Mr and Mrs Allan's home waited for a about a week to go               and collect this important evidence ... giving plenty of time of Donald Morey's female partner he spent the weekends with in a house in                   Chidlow ....to come and collect the black bag ... which gives the strong impression that as a witness has said .. 
         that Donald Morey worked as a killer and a illegal drug dealer for corrupt police and other powerful politicians,
         powerful business people and the Chinese Triads and was protected by these corrupt police .,..

The woman decided to "tell the complete truth," about what she knew of events on November 8, 2000, counsel assisting the coroner Philip Urquhart said in his opening address on Monday.

In her most recent statement to police, the woman claims she was called to a house where Morey was living and was told "he's killed her," by the man who owned the house, the court heard.

"She says that when she walked into Mr Morey's bedroom she saw a naked girl on the bed and that she had a piece of robe about 1 cm think looped twice around her neck," Mr Urquhart said.

Philip Urquhart said the inquest is also expected to hear evidence from several witnesses about a bag Morey carried with him containing a reel of silver gaffer tape, rope, two knives and explicit pornographic material.

Sarah McMahon's life was in serious danger as she knew too much and could bring the truth out,
but before Sarah McMahon disappeared she gave a sworn statement exposing all those involved.

There seems no doubt that if Donald Morey is released from prison in 2017 he will rape, abduct and murder again in Western Australia or somewhere else in Australia

The coroner investigating and reviewing the disappearance of Sarah McMahon and the police named career criminal Donald Morey as the prime suspect of what the coroner felt was the unlawful death of Sarah McMahon, rather than just a disappearance of Sarah McMahon on the 8th of November, 2000.

Morey claimed he never saw Ms McMahon the day she vanished, but had helped her formulate a plan to flee the country illegally.

"She's overseas, she's alive and she has two children," he said.

"I have been in contact with Sarah basically ever since."

But he refused to say where Ms McMahon was living, claiming he was protecting her and her children from danger by not revealing her whereabouts.

Morey would also not say how he has been communicating with Ms McMahon after he was imprisoned in 2005, for fear of being "locked up in maximum security indefinitely".

"Do not put her life in danger," he told Mr Urquhart when questioned about where Ms McMahon was and how she left the country.

Morey also maintained his innocence in relation to the attempted murder conviction, which he suggested he'd been set up for because of Ms McMahon's "disappearance".

"It was Sarah's decision to leave - not mine," he said.

Sarah's family have not heard from her in 12 years.

Morey met Ms McMahon at her older sister's house months before she disappeared and maintained there was never a sexual relationship between the pair.

"She could confide in me," he said. "We just talked".

Ms McMahon had intended to call her mother before she left, but had lost her phone, Morey told the inquest.

He said he was unable to contact her for more than a month after she left but sent her text messages and repeatedly tried to call.

"All I can tell you is I sent a hell of a lot of text messages," he said.

But Mr Urquhart told the Coroner there were no records of Morey trying to contact Ms McMahon by phone after November 8, 2000.

Morey then refused to answer any further questions and accused Mr Urquhart of "winding" him up when he had a "crook heart".

"Mr Morey it seems to me you just don't want to answer the hard questions," Mr Urquhart said.

Morey requested a medic and was taken back into lockup.

"If you want to put her life in danger you f..king wear it," he said.

Ms McMahon's sister Amanda Smith giving evidence earlier in the week described Morey as "creepy" and "too interested" in her younger sister.

The inquest has also heard evidence of a black bag found in Morey's bedroom after Ms McMahon's disappearance, which according to three witnesses contained gaffer tape, rope, knives and graphic pornographic magazines which involved fake corpses in compromising positions.

THE West Australian coroner has found that a 20-year-old woman missing for more than 12 years was a victim of a homicide, but has refused to rule on whether a suspect in the case was involved in the crime.

Sarah Anne McMahon disappeared on November 8, 2000 after telling a colleague she was meeting a friend at 5.30pm and then failing to pick up her sister at 8.30pm that evening.

Donald Victor Morey, 57, has long been considered a suspect in her disappearance and was the last person to speak to Ms McMahon before she disappeared.

After the initial police investigation drew a blank, a further investigation was launched after Morey was convicted of the attempted murder of a Perth prostitute in 2004 and sentenced to 13 years in prison.

He had also been a person of interest in the death of another prostitute the previous year.

However, police were again unable to substantiate enough evidence against Morey, who has consistently denied any involvement in Ms McMahon's disappearance.

A cold case review of both investigations was launched last year and Morey said he was still in contact with Ms McMahon, who he claimed was living in Canada with her two children.

Coroner Alastair Hope said on Thursday that because Ms McMahon had not contacted her loved ones in more than 12 years, he was confident she was dead.

"In my view, the evidence points overwhelmingly to the proposition that she died by way of unlawful homicide.''

Mr Hope said there was no evidence that Ms McMahon left the country and there were no records held in Medicare, Centrelink, the Australian Taxation Office, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade or her bank that would suggest that she was alive in Australia after that time.

A key piece of evidence examined at the inquest was a statement from Natasha Tracy-Ann Kendrick, dated November 11, 2011.

In her statement, Ms Kendrick said she walked into Morey's room and saw a bloodied naked girl on the bed with an "old fashioned rope'' around her neck.

Ms Kendrick claimed that she later saw Morey carrying ``something wrapped in a quilt over his left shoulder'' and said she knew it was McMahon's body.

However, Mr Hope noted that police were unable to find evidence to corroborate her account.

He said there was also evidence capable of supporting a conclusion that Morey lied to police about his movements on November 8, 2000 and falsified documents to support those lies.

"It is always possible that some further evidence may come to light which could result in criminal charges being laid at some later date,'' he said.

"In that context, I do not propose to make any finding in relation to Mr Morey's involvement.''

The last know known calls that Sarah McMahon had on her mobile phone at around 5.30 pm Friday the 8th of November, 2000 was two phone calls from Donald Morey. Sarah McMahon told a friend that she was going to see a freind in Bassendean.

Sarah McMahon was 20 when she was last seen in November, 2000. 

A convicted prisoner told an inquest into the disappearance of Perth woman Sarah McMahon more than a decade ago she's still alive and living overseas with two children.

The last confirmed sighting of Ms McMahon, then 20 years old, was on November 8, 2000.

She was seen driving away from her Claremont workplace while talking on the telephone, the inquest into her suspected death heard in Perth this week.

Before leaving work she had mentioned she was going to "see a bloke" in the Bassendean area that afternoon, the Coroner's Court heard.

The last person she took a call from was Donald Morey, a man 25 years her senior, who has since been convicted of trying to strangle a prostitute to death in 2003.

Currently serving 13 years' jail for the attempted murder, Morey, now 57 and in poor health due to a heart condition, appeared at the Perth inquest into Ms McMahon's suspected death on Friday.

According to a work log he kept for his job with a trucking company at the time, Morey had been cleaning and refuelling trucks at his workplace when Ms McMahon "disappeared".

But Counsel Assisting the Coroner Philip Urquhart accused Morey of fabricating the entry.

Mr Urquhart said there was no record of him using his fuel card, while phone tower records placed his mobile near the Bassendean area that afternoon.

"We haven't seen or heard from Sarah since November 8, 2000, when she left for work in the morning. Apparently she received a call at work from a friend who was "suicidal" and intended to visit the mysterious caller. The police believe she's been murdered and we have all tried to accept this as a possibility, but in our hearts we know she is out there somewhere. At the time of Sarah's disappearance she was depressed ... a romance had soured, university had lost its appeal and she had a mobile phone bill for $800 she hadn't mentioned to us. Sarah felt as though she was in rough waters being tossed this way and that, and she had mentioned to a family friend that she wished she could just "go away and start again". We thought a visit to her older brother Paul and his family, who live near Melbourne, might break the cycle, but unfortunately that wasn't so. I visited Melbourne and Sydney putting up posters, giving out photos and talking to anyone who was willing to listen. Two years ago, a couple who had taken a photograph of Sarah rang to say they had distributed it at a youth seminar. The sister of a Perth girl who vanished more than ten years ago after developing a friendship with an older man who has since been convicted of attempting to murder a prostitute has told the inquest into her sister's suspected death she always found the man "creepy".
Sarah Anne McMahon was 20 years old when she disappeared on October 8, 2000.

The last phone call Ms McMahon answered was from Donald Morey, then 45, who has since been convicted of attempting to murder a prostitute in 2003.

Counsel assisting the coroner at the inquest into the suspected death of Ms McMahon told the court Morey's attempt to strangle the woman to death came days after a fellow sex worker from the same Highgate strip had gone missing.

Ms McMahon's sister Amanda Smith giving evidence to the Coroner's Court on Monday said Morey met her sister at her house a couple of years before her disappearance.

When Ms Smith returned from living in regional Western Australia after a period of months she discovered "Don" and her sister were speaking on the phone "all the time", something that worried her, she said

"He was very interested in her – too interested," Ms Smith said.

"He was always trying to charm her."

Ms Smith said she found Morey "creepy".

Morey has never been ruled out as a suspect in the suspected death of Ms McMahon, Detective Darryl Cox told the Coroner's Court.

A special police unit that manages WA's cold cases reopened the case of Ms McMahon's disappearance last year and reinterviewed several witnesses.

One witness – a prostitute whose name has been protected – changed her original statement to make shocking claims that she saw the naked body of a woman she believed to be Ms McMahon in Morey's bedroom with a robe looped around her neck, counsel assisting the coroner Philip Urquhart told the inquest in his opening submissions.

The inquest is expected to hear the woman claimed she helped clean up the house after something wrapped in a quilt was removed from the bedroom.

The woman told police she wanted to "tell the whole truth" about what happened to Ms McMahon last year because she believed she was suffering from a terminal illness, Mr Urquhart told the inquest.

And now that suddenly was just cut short. My childhood, sort - sort of has been, um, marred, I guess you could say, by this whole situation. And, um, it's - it's hard. There's some days you don't want to get out of bed or go to school, but I think you have to make yourself do these things, um, for, um, yourself and just to, um, get Preoccupied.
JANE CUNNINGHAM: The year before she disappeared, Sarah's mum Trish, a school drama teacher, wrote a play about the devastated family of a missing girl. In a strange twist of fate, it was Sarah's sister Kate who played the missing girl, rehearsing the role and then comforting a family grieving from the same scenario. Do you visualise her coming home?
KATE: Yes. A lot.
JANE CUNNINGHAM: Do you?
KATE: Every day, you wake up, you think, "This could be the day. It could be the day she might come strolling through." I just think she's gonna come just wandering down the driveway, walking through the door, acting like nothing's happened. I just think that's how she'll do it.

Sydney: A Victoria prisoner sentenced to life imprisonment for the axe murder of a cellmate was, granted a new trial by the Full High Court in Sydney yesterday.
The Full Bench set aside the conviction and life sentence of Mr Donald Victor Matusevich and ordered the case to be remitted to the Victorian Supreme Court for retrial. The unanimous decision was given by Mr Justice Gibbs, Mr Justice Stephen, Mr Justice Mason, Mr Justice Murphy, and Mr Justice Aiekin. In his judgement Mr Justice Gibbs said certain evidence at the trial of Mr Donald Victor Matusevich had not only been inadmissible, but was prejudicial to him. Mr Justice Murpht said Mr Donald Victor Matusevich, 26, was a prison at Pentridge Prison who had applied for parole. Mr Donald Victor Matusevich was placed in a cell in the hospital wing with Mr Claude Joseph Thompson, a prison with a history of insanity, and Mr John Whateley, who had been moved to Ararat Prison for his safety, after he had informed the authorities there of an escape. Morey wasn't in jail in Qld at the time of Claremont ! read the Supreme Court transcript that I linked everyone to last week, and you WILL find that he was TRANSFERRED from Qld to WA; and that he had intentionally committed to 2 armed robberies in WA in order to be transferred from Qld to WA.

I don't believe you when you say the police told you things because it is well known that police lips are jammed shut about the Claremont (and other) cases. 

If you had phoned Sarah on the night she had disappeared, surely they would have hauled you before the recent inquest; like they did for that guy Hildebandt.

Two convicts found guilty of axe-killing

Two Pentridge prisoners were found guilty in the Criminal Court last night of having murdered another prisoner, found bashed to death with an axe.

Claude Joseph Thompson, 24, labourer, of Gertrude Street, Fitzroy, and Donald Victor Matusevich, 20 cook, of Beachgrove Street, Mornington, were sentenced to gaol for the term of their natural life.

Bother pleaded not guilty to charges of having murdered Graeme John Whateley, 28, at Pentridge Prison on November 12^th 1974. Whateley was found lying on a bed with severe head injuries. There also had been an attempt to strangle him. The Crown alleged that Thompson and Matusevich bashed Whateley to death with an axe.

The court was told that the three were working as clerks in a hospital ward at Pentridge Prison.

Whateley had been transferred to Pentridge Prison from Ararat gaol and was waiting to be taken to another gaol. Evidence was given that a prisoner who escaped from Ararat Goal was recaptured soon after with the help of information provided by Whateley.

The Crown alleged that Thompson and Matusevich planned to try to escape and saw Whately as an obstacle to their plan.  Prison officers told the court that on the night Whateley was killed, attempts were made to escape from the hospital ward. They said a TV set was removed from a wall, attempts were made to bash holes in the ceiling and  the toilet wall, and a fireplace unit was removed, apparently to investigate the possibility of getting out via the chimney.

In alleged records of interview with police given to the court, both accused admitted having killed Whately. Matusevick gave sworn evidence at the trial that he took no part in the attack. Matusevich said Thompson went berserk with the axe. Matusevich said he had no recollection of making the record of interview because he took some tablets after the incicent.

Counsel for Thompson called two psychiatrists and one psychologist, who gave evidence that Thompson had a history of psychiatric illness and admitted in the past to other crimes he did not commit. The doctors said that if Thompson had killed Whateley, it was probable that he was legally insane at the time.

After a trial before Mr Justice Murray, the jury of seven women and five men took about eight and a half hours to reach a verdict. Mr P.C. Martin prosecuted. Mr K. H. Marks, QC, with Mr. M. J. A man last night won his two year fight and was cleared of the axe killing of a Pentridge prisoner. “It’s been just like a nightmare,” Mr. Donald Victor Matusevich, 22, said outside the court. “It’s something you can’t express in words. I’m just so happy that it’s over.”

“The last few years have been very hard, knowing that I’m innocent,” Mr. Donald Victor Matusevich said.

Mr. Donald Victor Matusevich’s fight to clear himself began in September, 1975, when a Criminal Court jury found Mr. Donald Victor Matusevich guilty of murder.

Mr. Donald Victor Matusevich lost his appeal to the Court of Criminal Appeal, but, in July this year, the High Court of Australia granted a re-trial. After deliberating for seven hours, the second jury acquitted Mr. Donald Victor Matusevich.

Mr. Justice Murphy ordered his release from custody as Mr. Donald Victor Matusevich had completed the sentence Mr. Donald Victor Matusevich was serving at the time of the killing,

The woman decided to "tell the complete truth," about what she knew of events on November 8, 2000, counsel assisting the coroner Philip Urquhart said in his opening address on Monday.

In her most recent statement to police, the woman claims she was called to a house where Morey was living and was told "he's killed her," by the man who owned the house, the court heard.

"She says that when she walked into Mr Morey's bedroom she saw a naked girl on the bed and that she had a piece of robe about 1 cm think looped twice around her neck," Mr Urquhart said.

Philip Urquhart said the inquest is also expected to hear evidence from several witnesses about a bag Morey carried with him containing a reel of silver gaffer tape, rope, two knives and explicit pornographic material.

Sarah McMahon's life was in serious danger as she knew too much and could bring the truth out,
but before Sarah McMahon disappeared she gave a sworn statement exposing all those involved.

There seems no doubt that if Donald Morey is released from prison in 2017 he will rape, abduct and murder again in Western Australia or somewhere else in Australia

He said he was unable to contact her for more than a month after she left but sent her text messages and repeatedly tried to call.

"All I can tell you is I sent a hell of a lot of text messages," he said.

But Mr Urquhart told the Coroner there were no records of Morey trying to contact Ms McMahon by phone after November 8, 2000.

Morey then refused to answer any further questions and accused Mr Urquhart of "winding" him up when he had a "crook heart".

"Mr Morey it seems to me you just don't want to answer the hard questions," Mr Urquhart said.

Morey requested a medic and was taken back into lockup.

THE West Australian coroner has found that a 20-year-old woman missing for more than 12 years was a victim of a homicide, but has refused to rule on whether a suspect in the case was involved in the crime.

Sarah Anne McMahon disappeared on November 8, 2000 after telling a colleague she was meeting a friend at 5.30pm and then failing to pick up her sister at 8.30pm that evening.

Donald Victor Morey, 57, has long been considered a suspect in her disappearance and was the last person to speak to Ms McMahon before she disappeared.

After the initial police investigation drew a blank, a further investigation was launched after Morey was convicted of the attempted murder of a Perth prostitute in 2004 and sentenced to 13 years in prison.

He had also been a person of interest in the death of another prostitute the previous year.

However, police were again unable to substantiate enough evidence against Morey, who has consistently denied any involvement in Ms McMahon's disappearance.

A cold case review of both investigations was launched last year and Morey said he was still in contact with Ms McMahon, who he claimed was living in Canada with her two children.

Coroner Alastair Hope said on Thursday that because Ms McMahon had not contacted her loved ones in more than 12 years, he was confident she was dead.

Mr Hope said there was no evidence that Ms McMahon left the country and there were no records held in Medicare, Centrelink, the Australian Taxation Office, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade or her bank that would suggest that she was alive in Australia after that time.

A key piece of evidence examined at the inquest was a statement from Natasha Tracy-Ann Kendrick, dated November 11, 2011.

In her statement, Ms Kendrick said she walked into Morey's room and saw a bloodied naked girl on the bed with an "old fashioned rope'' around her neck.

Ms Kendrick claimed that she later saw Morey carrying ``something wrapped in a quilt over his left shoulder'' and said she knew it was McMahon's body.

However, Mr Hope noted that police were unable to find evidence to corroborate her account.

He said there was also evidence capable of supporting a conclusion that Morey lied to police about his movements on November 8, 2000 and falsified documents to support those lies.

"It is always possible that some further evidence may come to light which could result in criminal charges being laid at some later date,'' he said.

"In that context, I do not propose to make any finding in relation to Mr Morey's involvement.''

The last know known calls that Sarah McMahon had on her mobile phone at around 5.30 pm Friday the 8th of November, 2000 was two phone calls from Donald Morey. Sarah McMahon told a friend that she was going to see a freind in Bassendean.

There are witnesses that say that Donald Morey has bragged about murdering people and said that he learnt hoqw to murder people quickly and silently in the SAS using a rope and/or a knife, be strangling them and/or cutting their throat.

Sarah McMahon was 20 when she was last seen in November, 2000. 

A convicted prisoner told an inquest into the disappearance of Perth woman Sarah McMahon more than a decade ago she's still alive and living overseas with two children.

The last confirmed sighting of Ms McMahon, then 20 years old, was on November 8, 2000.

She was seen driving away from her Claremont workplace while talking on the telephone, the inquest into her suspected death heard in Perth this week.

Before leaving work she had mentioned she was going to "see a bloke" in the Bassendean area that afternoon, the Coroner's Court heard.

The last person she took a call from was Donald Morey, a man 25 years her senior, who has since been convicted of trying to strangle a prostitute to death in 2003.

Currently serving 13 years' jail for the attempted murder, Morey, now 57 and in poor health due to a heart condition, appeared at the Perth inquest into Ms McMahon's suspected death on Friday.

According to a work log he kept for his job with a trucking company at the time, Morey had been cleaning and refuelling trucks at his workplace when Ms McMahon "disappeared".

But Counsel Assisting the Coroner Philip Urquhart accused Morey of fabricating the entry.

Mr Urquhart said there was no record of him using his fuel card, while phone tower records placed his mobile near the Bassendean area that afternoon.

The State Coroner has ruled that a 20-year-old Perth woman who disappeared more than 12 years ago is dead.

Sarah McMahon was last seen leaving her workplace in Claremont in November, 2000, and a police investigation has since failed to find any trace of her.

Her car was found days later at Swan District Hospital.

An inquest was held late last year into her disappearance.

A suspect in the case, Donald Morey, 57, has repeatedly claimed Ms McMahon is alive and living in Canada.

In his findings Coroner Alastair Hope rejected Morey's evidence, labelling him "a most unimpressive witness".

However, Mr Hope stopped short of finding Morey responsible for Ms McMahon's death.

Mr Hope apologised to police, saying he was sorry the inquest had not progressed the case as far as had been hoped.

Built fake taxis even. Because a fake taxi didn't have to buy a taxi plate, fake taxis were a cash cow.
If Morey is SAS or exmilitary, he may have been trained in all the above. Mechanic being one of the core subjects for SAS. (SAS barracks are a stones throw from Stirling road, Claremont.) Being SAS with a stationwagon set up with a LSD diff, Morey could have driven any the back dirt tracks off the main roads up and down to the dump points with an element of ease. Police have said, it is someone who polishes their car a lot, with care to detail.

Rimmers mystery man was wearing a white shirt and black dress pants (by the looks). That is standard work uniform for many occupations, including taxi driver, hospitality staff, limo driver, funeral staff, door man. Did he work for a funeral home driving cemetery vehicles. Turning up at 12 suggests someone who may have knocked off work at any of the venues that were complied to shut at midnight at the time. Printers did do night shifts and earned commensurate money for doing so.

Did all the girls go missing at 12 oclock and later?

Run Commodore VS1 in the number plate database time frame which was only about 1 year old against printing companies. The whole lot could be queried from the database in 4 hours.

The Post also reports that new evidence shows this victim was tied up with washing line, not telephone wire as previously reported, and that the line was "impregnated with material used in screen printing".

Detectives contacted the former screen printing and picture framing business owner, Lee Partridge, asking if rope was left in a carpark behind the store, a local newspaper has reported.

They have linked fibres found on Jane Rimmer's body to the upholstery of a car matching that description. The newspaper also reports the killer had some link to screen-printing and had a way of "printing coloured words and patterns on fabric such as T-shirts". After years of apparent inaction on the unsolved case, these are the latest clues to be revealed by the Post, which identified a link between the killer and the rape of a woman in Karrakatta Cemetery in October.

According to her statement Mr Allen told her to come to the address at about 9.30pm on a night which must have been either 8 November 2000 or close to that date. In this account she stated that Mr Allen had said something like, ‘He’s gone and killed her’. She said she walked into Mr Morey’s room and saw naked girl on the bed. She said that there was an ‘old fashioned rope around the girl’s neck. She stated that she later saw the rope on the bedroom floor and it was about a yard long.

She stated that Mr Allen’s right hand was swollen and there were marks on his knuckles. She claimed that he said something like, ‘He had punched her in the head to shut her up but it didn’t’. 6 Later she stated that she cleaned the house. Ms Kendrick claimed that she saw Mr Morey carrying‘something wrapped in a quilt over his left shoulder’ .7 She said she knew it was the girl. Later she saw Mr Allen put the body in the bed of a utility and Mr Morey drove away.

Mr Allen’s wife, claimed that at a time which appears to have been relatively shortly after Ms McMahon’s disappearance, she saw a bag which belonged to Mr Morey and which he regularly had with him. She claimed that inside the bag there were two rolls of dirty grey, used gaffer tape, four lengths of ropes with knots in the ends about two feet in length, two knives, one of which was Mr Allen’s pocket knife, two large rubber bands, one condom in a packet, two pornographic magazines, between five and seven key rings and a map.

She claimed that the porn books contained pictures of men with blood on their genitals and women tied up who appeared to be dead

Experience has taught me that people who claim to have been in the SAS never served in the SAS. Is there any evidence that Morey was in the SAS? The VS Commodore thing might be misinformation to lure LW out to go dig up the souviners, if not, I'm sure the Police would have run a check on Commodores that were registered at the time.

There is enough reports to suggest he is ex army. Im not sure how old he is. Yes, there is a few guys around that use the Im ex SAS as a shield when they fear someone might give them a clobber. He might have been a mechanic?

There has been article written that some POIs would not be subject to a fair trial even if they went to court. They made mention the court would have to be in potentially another country but for the most part. Some POIs will never receive a fair trial.

We all know they might have it or might not have it. There's also a lot of different opinions as to whether they do or not. It serves no purpose to state categorically that police have DNA. It would be handy if you were on the same page as the rest of the posters.

The only person named as a suspect in this case is LW. Caporn named him. Maybe he slipped and used the wrong words, maybe he was supremely confident he was the guy and felt it didn't matter.

There is no evidence one way or other as to how many people were in that vehicle. From memory the words used at the time were "CG was talking to the occupants of a light coloured car". Whilst it does suggest plural the liklihood is "occupants" was used to cover one or many people and there was no definitive suggestion as to how many were in the car.

No one has been publicly cleared. If a court action was taken;

a. We'd know about it
b. It would likely require WAPOL to publicly clear the POI. There's no advantage to a POI to be cleared privately (by force).

Which begs the question why haven't others taken legal action?

Could be for a number of reasons;

1. They felt they needed to keep the information private in case a POI turned up who drove a similar car. The ol' lead the suspect into a lie trick. Keep cards close to chest, wait for POI to lie and then shazam! Gotcha. Here's the proof you are lying! Only problem is they don't have a plate or something that would confirm such a person is lying.

2. Because a Commodore wagon doesn't match LW's car. It could potentially hard conviction chances. This makes sense up until say 2004. But what about pre-LW and post Schramm? Surely it should have been released?

3. It's not actually true. For one reason or other Macro felt the best way of progress was to fabricate this. Seems highly unlikely.

4. They weren't confident enough of it being true, and/or because the make and model were unclear, decided it's probably best to keep it private. This is mostly likely IMO. Bit of point 2 also thrown in maybe.

This woman said she couldnt handle her alcohol, but had she been drugged via a drink spike without knowing it at the Cottesloe? Her friends left her passed out in the car. Normally people vomit before they pass out. She would have never known, along with hundreds of other women that all of a sudden feel drunk without knowing what has happening to them. A hypnotic effect.

So the offender was at least 30 or older in 1995. He could have been 15 years older than Sarah. Spiers was 18, Rimmer 23. Does that sound like a boyfriend of Sarah Spiers? Does JRs mystery man look 30+ ??? Sounds like Police have to go back an interview Karrakatta victim and friends at the Cottesloe hotel.

So she was literally transferred from one car to another, out the front of the Cottesloe hotel in front hundreds of people. That is one hell of a risk in full view of a pub and friends. He sat in the carpark waiting for her?

My family owned a service station/workshop back in the 80s. I had keys as I used to open up for them at 6am. I was also on call for the occasional night time smash n grab (for smokes) because I lived closer. It would have been a handy intermediate crime scene. Waste oil was drained into an underground tank that would get pumped out periodically, a good place to drain blood. Lots of trays, solvents, tools, ropes. Just a thought.

I would like to know that but he should be dismissed by DNA as not the prime suspect. Police have his DNA. But maybe he had a wingman whose DNA it is? Someone from scouts?

You see, when Lance was young, these girls parents may have had their cars filled with petrol by a bowser assistant at some point. Ciaras mother worked at Iona as a teacher. Then he worked in a bank. He could have checked bank balances, transactions everywhere. Then he worked main roads with access to databases etc.
But he has been cleared.

Cars that you could borrow in the middle of vehicle service that had number plates not showing the driver who had lost his licence. Any car. Could have been a Commodore wagon in service. Did it service taxis? 

Police said he would polish his car a lot. I think its referring to OCD. Or was it a panel beaters? Im trying to stay objective, ignoring cleared POIs.

The friends of the 17 year old, left her passed out in a car at the Cottesloe hotel car park on her own witht he doors unlocked. The 17 year old somehow transferred from one car to another with a 30+ year old man in full view of the hotel. She was passed out and cant recall the transferring between cars. That is really really pissed when you are moving and not knowing.
Was someone working behind the bar at the Cottesloe? The friends would remember something untoward. But the 17 year old wont.

In 1995 he has a van. In March 1997 he has a Holden Commodore that has only been released as a model approx 1 year. Witnesses say there is multiple occupants of the vehicle.

If some of these witness accounts start to bare similarities such as age, height, hair, car type etc then it's hard to believe MACRO don't have some pretty solid identikits of their guy.

As we were not members of the TF we will probably never know why so much information was withheld. I'm sure they had reasons. I'd like to comment on Claremont/Western Suburbs being exclusive areas and the nightclubs there having a kind of closed group feeling. I live in the western suburbs and have done since about 1990 and I have to say it's a lot less exclusive that it used to come across as. The uni attracts more international students/staff than ever, and if you take a walk from say, Steve's all the way down Broadway to Hampden Rd near Charlie's, or up stirling highway to Claremont, it's not really an exclusive area anymore. I worked at MLC in the 90s and I believed my friends when they told me how exclusive the area was and how I wouldnt fit in. First month at MLC I got asked over and over by the school girls if I could get drugs for the big day out or for their parties and I was warned by male staff not to be seen talking to the girls. I overheard plenty of times MLC schoolgirls (and they were really only kids) talking about their weekend, how many drugs they took, how such and such had lesbian sex with such and such, how there were thressomes happening at parties and how some girls had made videos of their sex adventures. I couldnt believe my ears! Prior to working there I had heard how UWA and the western suburbs were very exclusive and it was all Dalkeith kids doing law degrees but having spent time in the area it was just as seedy as fremantle or northbridge at the time: just dressed in better clothes and driving nicer cars. I caught the train from Claremont station on weekends going into and back from town and I often saw groups of bogans and very non stereotypical western suburbs folks get off in Claremont heading out on the lash there. I laugh when I do my grocery shopping at Claremont now and see the western Suburbs tennis mums looking very pleased with themselves. I think the western suburbs used to have the image of being rich areas but apart from steves and captain stirling (and kk's at broadway back in the day) the only local place to go was Claremont where you'd get people filtering through on the way from Freo into Town. That was my experience anyway. Even in the 90s when the CSK was on the loose, I used to walk to the 24 hour supermarket where Bunnings is now in Claremont and at 3am I'd see drunk chicks staggering home down stirling highway, dressed like strippers, groups of pissed blokes shouting and carrying on near HJs and the same behaviour you'd typically see in Northbridge or Leederville on any Saturday night. Someone else mentioned a secret brothel at MLC. I certainly didnt hear about that one in my time there but about 10 years ago (roughly) there was a scandal at MLC where some of the school girls were busted recording sex tapes with each other and selling them for profit. I believe it was in the news but I cant seem to find a link to any media relating to it. I remember at the time thinking "well, that doesnt suprise me at all" given the nature of the conversations I'd overheard there.

ou are presuming the video would have helped someone identify the back of someones head no ones knows. The video was probably best kept away so MM didnt know police knew his video presence. I think MM knew the security camera was there. At no point does he face the camera. Which begs the question, was that the only camera?

There is an entire security team there facing each other after one girl had gone from there less than 12 months prior. He has walked right up in front of the security team. He could have held their hands FFS. None of them noticed him. They were too busy playing with each others balls. 

IMHO the footage released 3 days later would have helped little.

Notice how he swims in from one direction, and shoots off in another, but never faces the camera. Maybe he was a security guy, who wanted to embarrass the relatively new security team on the block? Who took whose business away from them? Who were the prior security team? Was he a professional mercenary sent in to teach Claremont business owners a lesson on who they should have kept as security? They even did a paper spiel on the new Claremont security mogal who owned a new bright red Ferrari talking him up.

1. Which garage did they own? There's 3 in Mosman Park. Which one?
2. Can you please provide a link where police have cleared LW. As far as I'm aware they refuse to comment either way.

I seem to be one of the few locals here and really the only claiming it's exclusive so clearly you are referencing me. 

There seems to be some misunderstanding here. I have always maintained The Conti and CBV are exclusive. They are, always have been, and always will be in that Thurs/Fri/Sat night time slot. Not as exclusive as 20 years ago but still exclusive. I have never claimed bars and pubs near the uni, nor The Swanbourne (RIP), Captain Stirling, The Highway Hotel (rip) etc are exclusive.

The Conti and CBV were very exclusive in the mid 90s and anyone who claims otherwise is full of it.

That's great but how does that equate to MLC not being exclusive? It's 30k+ per year. That excludes 95% of the population immediately and by definition means it's exclusive.

I would hardly call it seedy. Plenty of drugs around but that doesn't necessarily equate to seedy.

They would have been going to the Speedway.

You go to the pubs in Subi when a football game is on and they're packed with footy fans. Go to the COnti on a Fri night when Speedway is on and not one bogan will drop into their before or after the Speedway. It just didn't happen back then and I doubt it happens now.

It is absolutely shameful. The police had all of Perth believing that Lance was the murderer.

They destroyed his life just as they destroyed Mallard’s life. It is no coincidence that after locking up Mallard within two weeks of the death of Mrs Lawrence, Caporn was considered the whiz-kid.

They sacked a real copper from macro, Detective Sergeant Paul Ferguson, who the member for Murray-Wellington would vouch safe is a real copper, and put on this impostor who said, “Lance is the man.”

Because of his capacity to solve difficult murder cases, he rocketed up through the police force to the rank of assistant commissioner and was eventually in charge of terrorism laws.

God help us all that a person such as that could be put in charge!

He does not even have the confidence of the Commissioner of Police to have his contract renewed to be an assistant commissioner.

There has been some publicity of recent times concerning a confrontation between me and certain corrupt police officers. The Premier laughed. Of course, the Premier understands that my family was a victim of attack. The Premier understands that my family was a victim of crime, and I was a victim of that crime as a result of my performance as a parliamentarian. Whilst I have been ragged a bit —

Mr J.R. QUIGLEY: The member for Murray-Wellington, that former policeman, has never spoken one word of criticism against the criminals who attacked my family home. All he has done is come into this chamber and rag me. That is all he has done. He is as useless in here as he was in Australind. Following this attack, I was very privileged to receive—I am very grateful for this—communications from the Commissioner of Police over the past week and from the president of the Western Australian Police Union.

One of the concerns in my electorate, as the member for Wanneroo knows, was the review by the police service of the Two Rocks Police Station. As I have said on a previous occasion, the member for Wanneroo was present at a public meeting in Two Rocks when this issue was raised and the concerns were raised.

Since that time, it is to the Commissioner of Police’s lasting credit that he personally travelled to Two Rocks and, after looking at Two Rocks and Yanchep, paid me the courtesy of a visit at my electorate office to personally reassure me of his commitment to maintain a police station in the Yanchep-Two Rocks locality. It was a very cordial meeting, and a range of matters were discussed. I have also received a number of phone calls from the president of the Police Union over the confrontation I have had with corrupt elements within the police service. They have been very, very fruitful discussions.

They asked me why I said there were corrupt elements in the police service, and I said, “Well, I can prove it by documents.” I took them, as I will take the chamber, to a document, being a report written about me and carried in “InsideCover” on 18 October 2006.

I will read it.

The corrupt officer, who was a gutless corrupt officer because he would not put his name in the newspaper—he went by the pseudonym of Doyle—was criticising the Corruption and Crime Commission, and in the process said that there is no way that the police would trust the CCC, but he went on to say — Doyle claims that two years ago police handed the CCC a file about a serving member of Parliament. It is alleged that the pollie made threats to a third party.

“When the file was handed to the CCC, it was at the stage where all that was required was a few people to be interviewed, a few facts firmed up — Whatever that means — and a politician interviewed and charged,” …

We know at the time that this corrupt police officer was speaking to The West Australian, the police had already been informed on two separate occasions by none less than the Director of Public Prosecutions of Western Australia that there was no charge to lay. I am sure that the member for Murray-Wellington would agree with me when I say that this was a blatant act of corruption practised against a member of Parliament by a serving police officer.

The serving police officer would have had to be one of about five officers who were involved in the corrupt investigation of me on the false allegation that I had committed some offence. As I said, the police had already been told by the DPP that there was no offence to prosecute.

Some police want to drag the state of Western Australia into a police state where police can go to the newspaper or any other media outlet and convict anyone that they cannot convict in a court, and destroy their life. This incident did great damage to me and to my family, including my late father, who had to read about it in the paper in 1991.

He freaked out that his son was about to be charged. I assured him that there was no offence and another corrupt copper was using the media, as they do in a totalitarian society, to destroy people without any evidence. Another case of that happening involved Andrew Mallard, who was a vulnerable mental patient when the police found him in a mental hospital.

The police went on TV and announced that they had got the murderer.

We all know now that the person who led that investigation, Caporn, on the finding of the CCC, had nothing or very little and had altered the evidence. He went to witnesses and had them alter their statements, went to the forensic laboratories of Western Australia and had them alter a forensic report and had what is described in this document as “a few facts firmed up”.

That is what the police were doing in the Mallard case and what they were going to do to me.

They wanted to firm up a few facts, for which we should read “build a false case”. I have given this document to the Commissioner of Police and to the investigating officers.

Actually, I did not hand it to Dr O’Callaghan when he came to my office last Friday; I referred him to it. I had given copies to the investigating officers and said,

“If you want to find out who put the words ‘child molester’ on my front wall, it was not someone just walking down West Coast Drive, because they went to another street, found my boat and put the same defamatory words on that. It would have to be someone who had access to number plates and registration details to know who owned that boat; that corrupt no-good copper Doyle or his mates.”

I have the privilege of standing in this place and exercising privilege on behalf of the community. There is a wider issue here.

 A corrupt rogue element exists within the Western Australia Police force.

That is beyond doubt.

 I have shown members the documents.

 It was an act of blatant corruption.

If it was practised against anyone in this chamber, no matter where they sat in relation to the Speaker, I would be just as livid.

 I am glad it happened to me because at least I have the wherewithal to stand up to the police.

As I said to these corrupt coppers on TV, I am no lay-down Sally.

We learnt at Aquinas to row out the full 2 000 metres. I am not going to cave in from all this.

I will now turn to more hapless people who have been the victims of this rogue element within the police force that is now trying its best to pull us into a state in Western Australia where the police rule that allegation equals conviction and destruction of families.

I noticed in media reports last night and today that Lance is no longer the principal suspect in the macro investigation.

 How could this be?

Mr J.E. McGrath: It should never have happened that they named suspects without any proper …

Mr J.R. QUIGLEY: I agree. It presents a big challenge to this government. There is a reef of corruption within the police force. Not all police are corrupt. I have publicly apologised. In my anger after my house was defaced, I used language that was too wide and criticised all police. Of course I do not feel that way about all police. I have a lot of friends who are police and who are supporting me at the moment. They are ringing me and offering me support against the corrupt element that exists within their own service. I will take the example of Lance, the man mentioned in the macro case. I spoke to Lance’s father moments before standing to speak in this place. I was given his telephone number by Channel Nine. I did not want to come into this chamber relying on a media organisation for the facts before making a speech in this Parliament. Lance’s father told me that the police assured the father that they did not suspect the son of murder, the major crime attended upon him recently. It is no coincidence that the principal investigating officer of that case is the person who locked up Mallard—Caporn.

The ACTING SPEAKER (Mr J.M. Francis): I take this opportunity to remind the member for Mindarie that while he is obviously protected under parliamentary privilege, I just want to caution him of the consequences of naming people in this Parliament when they are not able to come back here and defend themselves. I am not stopping the member; I am just reminding him.

Mr C.C. Porter: Member, just with respect to the Claremont serial killer suspect, was it not the case that the publication of that occurred via a media outlet rather than by the police?

Mr J.R. QUIGLEY: In 1998-99 that peanut Falconer, that little turnip from Victoria, who had been given the job as Commissioner of Police, together with Caporn said, “He’s the man.”

I will continue if I may.

The police absolutely convicted Lance in the pages of The West Australian.

A decade later it has come out that the police do not believe he is the prime suspect.

They advanced that finding on the basis that Lance had failed a lie detector test.

They kept from the media and from the press benches the fact that 12 other persons of interest had failed the lie detector test as well because that did not suit their story against Lance.

It is absolutely shameful. The police had all of Perth believing that Lance was the murderer.

They destroyed his life just as they destroyed Mallard’s life. It is no coincidence that after locking up Mallard within two weeks of the death of Mrs Lawrence, Caporn was considered the whiz-kid.

They sacked a real copper from macro, Detective Sergeant Paul Ferguson, who the member for Murray-Wellington would vouch safe is a real copper, and put on this impostor who said, “Lance is the man.”

Because of his capacity to solve difficult murder cases, he rocketed up through the police force to the rank of assistant commissioner and was eventually in charge of terrorism laws.

God help us all that a person such as that could be put in charge!

He does not even have the confidence of the Commissioner of Police to have his contract renewed to be an assistant commissioner.

That is foreclosing on other consequences he might face.

 This would never have been exposed had it not been for the decision of the former Attorney General to grant the petition for Mallard to let the matter be litigated before the court.

The Attorney General will soon receive a petition from another person who was convicted of murder after a Caporn investigation.

I am referring to Gary White, who was convicted of the murder of Anthony Tapley from DNA evidence and statements gathered by David Caporn.

 We read in The Sunday Times last week that a new DNA expert from Britain has come forward and said that the DNA results that were presented to the jury in White’s case, when read properly, did not even provide evidence that it was the deceased’s DNA.

This was kept from the jury. This presents an interesting challenge for the Attorney General, to see whether he does what the former Attorney General did, which was to send it off to the Court of Appeal to let the Court of Appeal decide, or whether the current Attorney General adopts the position adopted by the last conservative Attorney General, Hon Peter Foss, QC, when he knocked back Mallard’s petition and said, “Back to jail for the rest of your life, Mallard.”

I hope that when the White petition comes forward to the Attorney General he, having spoken to senior practitioners in this city, gives it due consideration, and finds that it meets with his favour and is not struck down.

I appreciate that the current Attorney General comes to this Parliament with a high reputation for integrity and legal knowledge, but he is burdened somewhat by conflict because he comes from the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions: the same DPP, whilst he was in the employment of the office, who went down and opposed these appeals and opposed White’s application for leave to the High Court. It might be seen in some quarters, unfortunately, that if White’s petition were to be rejected by the Attorney General, that this might be some sort of cover-up on behalf of the office of the DPP in not wanting this matter to go forward to be reviewed by the Court of Appeal because it involved work colleagues of the Attorney General.

Mr C.J. Barnett: That is an appalling claim. The member is a disgrace!

Mr J.R. QUIGLEY: I have not accused him of doing anything wrong, but alerting this chamber —

Mr C.J. Barnett: The member has! Too smart, all innuendo.

 The ACTING SPEAKER (Mr J.M. Francis): I will repeat the caution again, member for Mindarie, that while you are protected by privilege, some people that you may refer to may not be able to come back into this chamber and defend themselves. I am not stopping the member, I am just cautioning him.

Mr J.R. QUIGLEY: I am not taking interjections now, I have only got about five minutes to go.

 The minister will interject anyway. Those people that I am talking about are in the chamber and are able to comment. It is a challenging situation for the Attorney General; one that I am sure he will put his mind to.

I hope that this matter is referred to the Court of Appeal because this conviction is of great concern to the defence bar of Western Australia, although I understand it is of no concern whatsoever to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, which has steadfastly, as it did in Mallard’s case, sought to hold the conviction and keep the innocent Mallard in jail.

The office of the DPP, by its actions, managed to extend Mallard’s unfair term of imprisonment by a number of years—at least four.

The government of the day, including the Premier and the minister, have a challenge before them. It is beyond reasonable doubt on the evidence—at least from what is in “InsideCover”, taken at its lowest—that there is a reef of corrupt officers running through the police force.

 That is unsurprising. [Member’s time extended.]

Mr J.R. QUIGLEY: When an officer—as lowly as he was; a detective sergeant—starts rocketing up through the police force on the basis of dud investigations, he does not do it by himself.

He has to have a team around him and, as he goes forward, that team gets promoted as well.

So it is unsurprising that they end up with a little cluster or a reef of corrupt officers around them who knew if they followed and supported Caporn, their careers would elevate and they too would go up in the vortex. There is a challenge for the Commissioner of Police to root these corrupt friends of Caporn right out of the police force.

 It is going to be very hard. In relation to Doyle, what does the Commissioner of Police do?

We know it is an attack upon a member of Parliament and I know that members opposite do not care because it is only me, but do not forget what they say: first they came for Quigley and I did not speak up, and then they came for me, Quigley, and no-one spoke up for me!

He was speaking about the Jews at the time. This is absolutely the soft edge, where the encroaching police state starts to go. The media have a responsibility in this, too. I understand that the Attorney General has under consideration whistleblower legislation in the form of shield laws.

I will make one point in relation to these shield laws. Staff from various media outlets in this city know that in principle I support shield laws. I think at times the media are some of the best people to ferret out information—information that public officials would like to keep from the public. They are very good at that, but if there were no shield laws, journalists would be exposed.

 In this particular case, Mr Morfesse wrote this article about me—there is no doubt it was about me—and the next day, the crime reporter Sean Cowan came to this Parliament and put to me that it was me and that they knew it was me. He then published an article the day after this happened. Fair enough, because if this was true and there were agencies, either the Director of Public Prosecutions or the Corruption and Crime Commission, corruptly protecting Quigley from a prosecution he deserved, then it was the right place for the paper to put it out on the table. Now The West Australian is in possession of further facts. The West Australian newspaper, its editor Mr Armstrong and its reporter Mr Morfesse, now know that they have been lied to by Doyle—their secret source.

They now know that, by the time Doyle spoke to them accusing a member of Parliament of a criminal offence, the police themselves had been told by the DPP there had been no offence. Doyle did not tell The West Australian that. Doyle was intent on using The West Australian against a member of Parliament for the corrupt police officer’s own purposes.

That is evidence of a police state. That is evidence that when a policeman can anonymously go to a media organisation—it could happen to any member—and tell a lie like this, that you are guilty of a criminal offence but no-one will prosecute you, that is evidence of a police state.

Investigator, judge and jury—that is how Doyle casts himself. The West has now got a challenge before it.

Is The West Australian going to protect a corrupt police officer?

 Is the family newspaper going to protect Doyle?

Doyle attacked me and my family.

Is The West Australian—which holds itself out as the family newspaper—going to protect Doyle’s identity?

 I can see the member for Murray Wellington shaking his head.

The last thing he wants is The West Australian to give up the corrupt officer.

The parliamentary secretary for police wants that corrupt officer protected.

That is the state this democracy has come to. Look at the member for Murray-Wellington shaking his head, wearing his police badge on his lapel. He is not here as the member for Murray-Wellington; his main concern is to make sure that Doyle’s identity is never flushed out, that one of his mates is never brought to account.

 That is his concern. His concern was not that Rowtcliff was a corrupt officer, walking around Fremantle assisting Mallard to take drugs; his concern was that Rowtcliff was flushed out. That was his concern and that was his criticism of me because I flushed out a corrupt officer. He forgets to tell this chamber that before I did that I rang the DPP, Robert Cock, QC, and arranged a certificate of immunity for him.

 I rang Mr Michael Bowden, who was a defence solicitor at the time, before he was a judge, and arranged representation for him and I rang the police union to make sure the funding would flow through to Mr Bowden so that Mr Bowden could accompany Rowtcliff to the police royal commission and tell the truth.

If he had told the truth and had not been corrupt, Mr Mallard would have been spared four years’ imprisonment.

I did everything I could to look after Mr Rowtcliff in the sense of allowing him to tell the truth without exposing himself to prosecution; in other words, allowing the truth to come out to facilitate the release of a person who was 12 years into a 30-year prison term and who was not eligible for parole.

He was not eligible for parole because he would not recant and admit the crime, and he would not go on the violent offenders program.

Because he would not admit the crime and go on the violent offenders program, they took him to Graylands Hospital, put him in a straitjacket and injected him with psychotropic drugs.

I asked Andrew when everything turned for him. He replied that it was when he was in Graylands Hospital in a straitjacket. He had been injected and he caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror with saliva dribbling down his chin and thought, “I’m going to die in here.”

That was when it all changed for him. The Attorney General should bear this in mind when he is arranging compensation. I had dinner last night with one of Perth’s leading personal injury lawyers, who practises in both the Court of Appeal and the High Court.

 He assured me that because of the way the writ is pleaded, Andrew is entitled to a civil jury, which could strike the damages in this case. I will be very interested to see, after the trial with a civil jury, whether the average person in Perth agrees with me that Andrew Mallard is entitled to $10 million for the destruction of his life, and that Lance is entitled to compensation for what the police have done to him and his family.

They tore up his backyard, searched for DNA and went to the media saying that Lance was the murderer.

 They then went quietly to his parents in November 2008 to say,

“We’ve looked into this further and we’re satisfied as to his alibis. We think he’s a bit weird and his behaviour is unusual, but we’re satisfied that he’s not the murderer.”

What has happened?

We have a corrupt police officer running his own agenda, convicting people in the media and destroying families, and because of his success in doing this, he is promoted!

They sacked Paul Ferguson.

Does the member for Murray-Wellington know Detective Sergeant Paul Ferguson?

He is a fine police officer. I know him, his family and all his history.

 He is a fine police officer, but he was sacked from the case because he was not advancing the case quickly enough.

They wanted a quick result, and this Caporn chappie had got a quick result in the Mallard case, so they sooled him onto this case to sink Lance.

 They could not convict him in court, so they convicted him in the media. I do not know any more about the facts behind Mrs Rayney’s death than anyone else in this house. I am not any better informed, but I do know that what the police did was damnable. It was the same form again.

They did what they did to Lance and Mallard.

They announced that Mr Rayney was the prime and only suspect.

Mr J.R. QUIGLEY: Good! The member for Murray-Wellington wants to send them out, because the people he wants to read that speech are the coppers who were involved in defacing my home, and he wants to ginger them up to do it again!

What word of criticism has the member for Murray-Wellington spoken against those foul coppers who put Andrew Mallard away for life? Not one little whisper in this chamber. What word has he spoken against those criminals who graffitied my house—those mongrels who painted “child molester” so that my wife and children would read it in the morning? What word of criticism?

Mr R.F. Johnson: Are you accusing police officers of doing that?

 Mr J.R. QUIGLEY: Absolutely! The minister has woken up—Doyle and his mates. They did not graffiti my wall on this occasion, they graffitied my name and reputation in The West Australian. What is the Minister for Police doing about it? Has he asked the Commissioner of Police what he has done to investigate the identity of Doyle?

Mr J.R. QUIGLEY: The member is the former copper; he is one of his mates. He should ask him. The Minister for Police should ask who this corrupt copper is.

 He no longer wants to debate the performance of the police in the Mallard case on the steps of Parliament, but before he found out the truth about it, he wanted a debate. I have a lot of sympathy for the Commissioner of Police because he has around him a number of corrupt officers who are ill-informing and ill-advising him.

That is why he ended up in such a puddle, standing down Caporn, bringing him back and standing him down again.

 He was receiving dud advice; they were lying to him.

What did the Minister for Police do to protect a member of Parliament against defamation by a certain police officer?

Nothing. He is a typical conservative who says,

 “Support the gendarmes at any cost, and lock up the poor.”

I was the girl friend of a senior police officer and was heavily involved in the taking of selling and using illegal drugs such as crystal meth, cocane, heroin etc., with by boyfriend senior police officer other police and well connected people in Perth and they were involved in the Claremont Serial Abductions and Murders and other unsolved Abductions and Murders in Western Australia ... when asked why don't you tell the authorities about what you know? .... the reply was. ." if I stated publicly what I know I would be murdered within a week ..."..

Here is some food for thought!

How do we know that Frank Wark (currently in jail and awaiting trial for the Murder of Hayley Dodd) - isn't also the Karrakatta rapist and the CSK?

That's dead easy!
Coz his DNA is on file... and WAPOL reportedly have DNA from Karrakatta rapist and CSK... so it can't be Wark...

Or Can It?

What hasn't been considered publicly (until now) is this possibility!.

Why would WAPOL prosecute Wark NOW for CSK, IF they do indeed have his DNA already?

If they can convict him for Hayley Dodd's murder, then likely with his past record in Qld which the judge will take into account at sentencing, he will certainly get another life term!.

If he does - why waste time & $$On another conviction/convictions for all these other CSK & Karrakatta offenses - which would only get served concurrently - heck he is only barely 60 - he could be out in 12 years aged 72 - to kill again!.

Far better to try and get him for Hayley Dodds murder first - and THEN in a decade when he's just about due to get out again after Hayley Dodds conviction, THEN charge him with CSK & or Karrakatta crimes!.

IF WAPOL do this right - they can keep him in jail for the term of his natural life - which is what I reckon they are up to!

I reckon they MAY already KNOW who the CSK is for a host of reasons (DNA among them) but also his M.O. in the Qld case 100% matches the use of rope and other aspects of the CSK crimes to a "T"...

Everyone thinks WAPOL will prosecute the moment they find out who CSK really is!.

Me - I reckon they (WAPOL) MAY already know who it is and have done so, for some time now - BUT are maybe just waiting their time - in case he gets off the Hayley Dodd charges THEN they can follow up with the Karrakatta rape then the CSK crimes...

No where has anyone allowed for the fact that WAPOL may well already KNOW who the CSK is, and that he's already in jail, and that they already have enough evidence to convict him 3 times over - enough to keep him in jail until he dies - so he never gets out again to kill anyone else.

Everyone just assumes they (WAPOL) haven't yet identified / caught the CSK and they don't know who it is...

Maybe WAPOL do know and maybe they aren't saying for good reason (coz there would be media and family baying for blood and a speedy trial).

Maybe WAPOL are playing their cards close to their chest in order to play the justice system in their favor... and keep Wark behind bars until he dies!.

You have to admit - it IS a possibility! There's no law says they HAVE to charge him for all his crimes at the one time, so that he can serve concurrent sentences - that just helps Wark...to get out early to kill again in a decades time!

So what makes me suspicious that Wark might be the Karrakatta rapist and or the CSK as well?

Is there anything we do know about Warks MO from his Qld conviction in 2006 - that matches the known MO of either Karakatta rapist / or CSK crimes?

She noticed that his demeanour had changed and he grabbed her arm. Then he hit her more than once on the head with a piece of wood that was like an axe-handle in size. When she asked why he was doing it he said:

“This is rape.”

He then dragged her into the house where over the next few hours he inflicted on her the treatment previously described. During the course of the activity, he reduced her to captivity by tying her hands. For part of the time the rope was also tied to the head of the bed.

Unlike the offender in R v Spoehr,[12] he did not relent and let her go. It was only due to her seizing an opportunity, after daylight had broken, to leave the house while his attention was distracted that she made her escape. Even then he unsuccessfully pursued her until it became obvious that she had made good her escape.

The Crown Prosecutor at sentence submitted that the appropriate range for the offending displayed in the case was between 14 to 16 years imprisonment. In my view the facts of the case place it towards the upper end of that range as a starting point before allowing for matters of mitigation. In submissions before this Court, counsel for the respondent drew attention to the similarities between the present case and Spoehr in which a sentence of 14 years following a plea of guilty was not disturbed on appeal. One feature which counted in Spoehr’s favour that is absent in this case has been referred to above. On the other hand, unlike the present applicant, Spoehr engaged in a number of acts of penile intercourse and his offending related to a visitor to Australia whose cultural background resulted in what were described as catastrophic consequences for her.

Since the sentence is more than 10 years imprisonment, it carries with it an automatic declaration that the offence is a serious violent offence and therefore a requirement to serve 80% of the sentence. To allow the applicant proper allowance for his plea of guilty in a case in this category, a reduction in the notional head sentence is the only way in which that can be achieved. In my view a reduction of the head sentence from what would have been merited, in the range of 15-16 years had the matter gone to trial, to 13 years did not make adequate allowance for the plea of guilty.

I agree with Cullinane J that the application for leave to appeal should be allowed, and with the orders proposed.

CULLINANE J: The applicant seeks leave to appeal against a sentence of 13 years imprisonment imposed in respect of five counts of rape. He had pleaded guilty to an ex-officio indictment containing those counts as well as five counts of sexual assault, one count of assault with intent to rape, one count of assault occasioning bodily harm while armed, one count of deprivation of liberty and to two summary charges of possessing a dangerous drug, cannabis sativa, and possessing instructions for production of cannabis sativa. 177 days spent in pre-sentence custody was declared as time already served under the sentence.

At about 1 am one Saturday morning, the complainant, a woman in her thirties, was walking along a highway in North Queensland. She accepted a lift from the applicant, who persuaded her to accompany him to his home on a rural property, promising that he would drive her to her destination after he had had some tea. When she attempted to leave the house, the applicant twice struck her about the head with a piece of wood, causing bleeding (the assault occasioning bodily harm while armed count). He grabbed her by the hair and dragged her back inside, where he forced her on to a bed and removed her clothes (the assault with intent to rape and the commencement of the deprivation of liberty). The complainant was so frightened that she involuntarily urinated.

The applicant tied the complainant’s hands to the bed head with a rope, and lay on her, rubbing his penis on her vaginal area. Then he used the rope to pull her onto the floor where he put his penis into her mouth and forced her to perform oral sex on him (the first rape count), slapping her across the face repeatedly when she faltered. He then returned her to the bed where he lay on her again and fondled her. He bit her left breast (the first sexual assault) slapped her a number of times and covered her mouth and nose so she found it difficult to breathe. He made her lick his neck, squeezing her right breast hard (the second sexual assault) when he was not satisfied, before again forcing her to perform oral sex on him (the second rape count). Then he dragged her by the rope to a shower where he made her perform oral sex upon him again (the third rape) after which he urinated on her. She was then dragged back again by the rope to the bed where the applicant tried unsuccessfully to penetrate her vagina with his penis (the third sexual assault).

The applicant fell asleep briefly, but awoke when the complainant tried to move. He told her she was not going anywhere pulled her on to the floor on to her knees and made her perform oral sex on him again, ejaculating into her mouth (the fourth rape). She was made to get back on the bed where the applicant told her to lick his neck (the fourth sexual assault). He fell asleep lying on her. When he awoke, he took the complainant into another room where he told her to lie on her stomach on a mattress and whipped her repeatedly on her buttocks (the fifth sexual assault). Then he held his hand over her mouth while he inserted something into her anus, which he moved in and out, causing her a great deal of pain (the fifth rape). He told her that he was going to “keep her” and that as long as she did as he said, she would be fine.

After the anal penetration, the applicant left the complainant alone while he went into another room. By this time day was breaking. She took the opportunity to free her hands from the rope and to run from the house. The applicant pursued her, but she managed to reach a neighbouring house where the occupants took her in and telephoned the police.

Over the hours during which the applicant held the complainant against her will he repeatedly struck her and abused her verbally. It is clear from her statement that she feared throughout that she would be killed. The complainant was examined later the same day. Her hair was matted with blood and she had areas of lacerations and swelling on her head. There were marks on her chest consistent with bites, abrasions on the wrists consistent with rope burns and multiple abrasions and bruises of her arms, knees and buttocks. The examining doctor found a three millimetre tear to her perianal region consistent with stretching.

The applicant was 51 years old at the time of sentence. He had worked in the past as a labourer and had then acquired a small farming property on which he ran some cattle and pigs. His counsel said that he had difficulties controlling his alcohol use and on the night in question had been drinking at a hotel. His only previous criminal history in Queensland consisted of convictions on a single occasion in the Magistrates Court for producing and possessing dangerous drugs, for which he was fined $300. He had a history of similar, minor drug-related offences in Western Australia in the 1980s.[/quote]

So as far as M.O. goes... we know that in 2006 he suffered erectile dysfunction, however that necessarily DOESN'T mean he must have suffered from this condition back in 1996/1997 & 1998 (or in 1999 when he is alleged to have abducted and murdered Hayley Dodd, this is a condition more associated with later age related medical conditions like diabetes etc which Wark may NOT have been suffering the full affects from 7-10 years earlier!.

So one has to ask - was vaginal (and or anal) rape performed on either the Karrakatta rape victim or mentioned in autopsy results on any of the 2 recovered remains from the CSK victims?.

Also there is mention of use of rope to bind hands, on the Qld victim in the Bar Jade quote of evidence above!

So is there any similar evidence of use of rope to bind wrists in the Karrakatta rape case?

And the answer is yes there is - the surviving victim who was blindfolded, reported the use of either plastic telephone cable OR plastic coated washing line chord!. There was also some suggestion on the public record, that such material recovered from the remains of at least 1 of the CSK victims was impregnated with screen printing ink!.

Here we have a reasonable "M.O." match between Wark and the use of rope to bind wrists in at least 2 of the cases.

Wark also uses wood to club his victims in the head!

Again is there any evidence of either the Karrakatta victim or CSK victims with substantive contusions to the head to match his M.O.?

Is there any evidence of anal tearing of the perineum on any of the Karrakatta or CSK victims to match his MO?

Is there any evidence of fellatio on any of the Karrakatta or CSK victims?.

These are all things that we the general public are not privy to knowing -because they are a part of the ongoing WAPOL Macro task force investigations.

There are enough similarities IMHO tho between what is publicly known to at least conjecture as to whether or not Wark (or for that case Donald Victor Morey Matusevich) might indeed be the CSK, IF we allow that its POSSIBLE that WAPOL already know who the CSK actually is, and are just biding their time to make an arrest and prefer charges because the perpetrator/s are already in jail - in order to maximize their period of incarceration and avoid them serving concurrent sentences.

Likely we may never know until such time as WAPOL decide to prefer charges IF in deed the above conjecture has any merit at all.

A street prostitute who narrowly survived a brutal bashing at the hands of a sexual deviant who is suspected of being involved in two unsolved suspected murders says she is still haunted by the chilling attack and believes her assailant may have killed other women.

In her first media interview since the December 2003 attack, the woman, who did not want her name published, described crawling through a swamp and scaling a 2.4m high concrete wall in a bid to escape.

"I know there are other girls who aren't as lucky as I was," the woman said.

In September 2005, career criminal Donald Victor Morey was convicted after trial of attempted murder.

In handing down a 13-year jail term, Supreme Court Justice Geoffrey Miller accepted the prosecutor's submission that there was no sexual motive to Morey's crime as he was impotent at the time.

"This woman was a random target and . . . it was predatory conduct on your part," Justice Miller said. "It was a premeditated offence, that you planned to take her to a remote area and it was not the case that you voluntarily desisted from what you were doing."

Morey's appeals were dismissed and he remains behind bars.

He is a suspect in the murder of Darylyn Meridith Ugle, a prostitute who was last seen alive while soliciting for sex in March 2003, and to the disappearance of Sarah McMahon, a 20-year-old Parkerville woman who has not been seen leaving her Claremont workplace exactly 11 years ago today. Her vehicle was found at Swan District Hospital. Morey denies involvement in both cases but admits he knew Ms McMahon.

Ms Ugle's body was found in April 2003 near Mundaring Weir - a short distance from Morey's Chidlow home and from the Helena Valley street where he took his December 2003 victim. The two prostitutes knew each other.

"We don't think it is going to happen to us but I didn't put two and two together," the prostitute who escaped said.

"I'm not a dumb girl. I have good instincts and he was good enough to make me go against my instincts."

She said she felt uneasy getting into Morey's car that night in December 2003 but accepted $900 to have sex with him.

"I think he might have panicked because I realised he was going around in circles," she said.

"He calmly pulled his car over to the side of the road and he already had rope wrapped around his hand when he turned his car off."

Morey tried to place the rope over the woman's neck but she put her back against the passenger door and repeatedly kicked him.

"I fell out backwards and hit the kerb with my back," she said.

"He dived out over the top of me and I got him in the face with my feet. I think that dazed him a little bit. I crawled to the back of the car and he followed me.

"He was punching into me for about 15 minutes and I was screaming. I climbed on to the back of his car . . . to try not to let him get me back into the car again."

The woman managed to climb a high wall and stumble through a swampy area.

"I was screaming," she said. Morey eventually got back in his car and drove off.

The woman said the attack changed her life.

"I couldn't walk out in the street at night," she said.

"If I see someone who looks like him I jump a little, even though I know he is in jail."

 In Western Australia you dont serve your full sentence, you never do. You serve about 2/3rds maximum. He did not commit murder or rape and 7 years is an enormous sentence. It is more than likely he served 4 1/2 years, trust me, I know this. I could not think of one case where a maximum sentence has been enforced for anything other than the most violent of all crimes.

Morey is currently serving a large sentence for attempted murder. Parkie is claiming he was released and is now living in Bunbury, that means he didn't even serve his full sentence for that attempted murder sentence and only served about 2/3rds despite being a 'known' serial killer. I don't believe Parkie knows this though and is just making it up because we all know how difficult it is to find out if someone is still incarcerated and when their release date was so you could easily just make this up and no one would be able to dispute it. If Morey was let out though it would be in line with normal sentencing procedures.

You see the reason judges give out harsh maximums for crimes is so that they serve at least a good portion of the sentence. They are not required to serve a maximum under WA law. Only life imprisonment can have maximums and even then non parole periods are much lower even for the worst offenders.

I would say that if he was sentenced in 1991 he would have been locked up for some time prior to sentencing, that is time served, and then would have spent about 4-4.5 years in prison which would be in line with regular sentences even for a repeat offender. If he used a replica gun that would way in his favour. The law is the law its open for interpretation, it is not a set of rules.

Morey would have been out just in time for Karrakatta.

Morey wasn't in jail in Qld at the time of Claremont ! read the Supreme Court transcript that I linked everyone to last week, and you WILL find that he was TRANSFERRED from Qld to WA; and that he had intentionally committed to 2 armed robberies in WA in order to be transferred from Qld to WA.

I don't believe you when you say the police told you things because it is well known that police lips are jammed shut about the Claremont (and other) cases. 

If you had phoned Sarah on the night she had disappeared, surely they would have hauled you before the recent inquest; like they did for that guy Hildebandt.
